Empty Promises

This applies to something as small as saying “Let’s do ____” then not doing it. Time and time again a bunch of people have told me that they want to “go watch a movie”, “go on a camping trip”, “join a club” with me and I took them seriously. I don’t know if they were sincere about it when they said it, but when it was time for them to do what they promised, they bailed— and I’m left looking like an idiot. Most of the time I’m looking forward to this event too. 

From now on, when people make those promises, I just say “sure! can’t wait!” and don’t mean a word of it… Take the initiative to plan shit out

Class of 2012 and Fixed Gear Bikes

Damn I hate the class of 2012 with a passion. With the exception of a few I guess. 

But for the most part they should all be put in a whole. They’re so cocky. Thinking that making friends with kids that are only older than them makes them look cool. Yeah it’s nice to have older friends, they can help you out with experience you’re going through that they’ve done but because they’ve experienced more, they differ from you. Which why you need friends your own age too. But nooooo, all these 2012 kids care about is image. Which is why most of them ride fixed gears.

Most people probably don’t know the original purpose for fixed gears. It was a cheap alternative to road bikes. You’re supposed to just buy old parts for cheap and then bam, you have a bike. Nowadays there are kids getting Carbon Fiber frames for their fixed gears. Seriously?! If you spend anything more than $300 on a fixed gear you are a moron. (I would say $200, but hey we’re in a recession)
